Kyle Avery brings over eight years of dedicated therapeutic experience to his work with children, adolescents, and young adults. After earning his Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, he has spent nearly a decade refining his clinical skills and deepening his understanding of the unique developmental, emotional, and relational needs of younger populations. He achieved his LCSW licensure in 2025, marking a significant milestone in his commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
Kyle’s therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel truly seen and heard. He draws from evidence-based modalities including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy, tailoring his methods to meet each client exactly where they are in their developmental and emotional journey. Additionally, Kyle is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), equipping him to support clients processing trauma with specialized, research-backed interventions.
Throughout his career, Kyle has worked with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. He understands that these struggles often show up differently across age groups and developmental stages, and he approaches each client with the flexibility and insight needed to address their specific needs.
Kyle’s foundational goal in therapy is to cultivate an environment where clients feel genuinely safe and comfortable—because he knows that healing and growth happen when young people feel empowered rather than judged. By building trust and fostering genuine connection, Kyle supports his clients in discovering their own strengths, developing healthy coping strategies, and making meaningful changes that extend far beyond the therapy room.
